Sheriff’s log

FRIDAY

-10:50 a.m.: investigate complaint. Deputies responded to Stop 99 Truck Stop on state Route 119 in Dinsmore Township on the report someone had opened the caller’s trailer doors.

THURSDAY

-5:04 p.m.: suspicious person. Deputies responded to the 14200 block of state Route 274 in Dinsmore Township on the report of a weird acting male.

-3:56 p.m.: vehicle in ditch. Deputies responded to the 2000 block of Kuther Road in Washington Township on the report a car had hit a tree.

-3:30 p.m.: investigate complaint. Deputies investigated the report of a possible scam at 1681 N. Kuther Road in Turtle Creek Township.

Crashes

No one was cited following a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday at 8:21 a.m.

Von Reuben Mohler, 71, 2892 Hardin Wapak Road, Sidney, was exiting a private driveway when he turned south onto Hardin Wapak Road into the heavy fog and he failed to see a southbound vehicle on Hardin Wapak Road which swerved and braked trying to avoid a crash, but struck Mohler’s vehicle on the right side. The collision caused Mohler’s vehicle to go off of the roadway.

The other vehicle was driven by Katherine Neff, 26, 321 Pasco Montra Road, Sidney.

FRIDAY

-12:32 p.m.: medical. Perry Port Salem Rescue responded to the 5100 block of state Route 29 in Perry Township.

-12:24 p.m.: medical. Houston Rescue responded to the 10200 block of Schenk Road in Washington Township.

-10:58 p.m.: medical. Anna Rescue and Jackson Center Police responded to the 100 block of Redbud Circle in Jackson Township.

-9:59 p.m.: medical. Anna Rescue and Jackson Center Police responded to the 100 block of Jerry Drive in Jackson Township.

THURSDAY

-4:52 p.m.: crash. Anna Rescue and Fire Department, CareFlight and Deputies responded to Lochard Road and state Route 119 on the report a car crashed into a cornfield.
