THURSDAY

-2:34 p.m.: crash. Deputies responded to a property damage crash at mile marker 86 south on Interstate 75 in Orange Township.

-7:39 a.m.: investigate complaint. Deputies responded to the Sidney Middle School on Fair Road in Clinton Township to investigate a complaint.

-6:24 a.m.: burglary. Deputies responded to 10987 Commanche Drive in Washington Township on the report that someone tried to break into the residence.

WEDNESDAY

-7:32 p.m.: investigate complaint. Deputies responded to Sharps Bar and Grill on Michigan Street in Turtle Creek Township on the report of a parking complaint.

MONDAY

-12:35 p.m.: domestic violence. Sean Carr, 21, and Kristen Jenkins, 22, both of 19245 Botkins Road, Jackson Center, were arrested for domestic violence.

SUNDAY

-3 p.m.: domestic violence. Craig Kauffman, 31, 3300 Chief Tarkee Court, was arrested for domestic violence and aggravated menacing after police investigated a domestic violence report at the residence.

-10:59 a.m.: theft. Botkins police responded to the Budget Host Inn at 505 E. State Street in Dinsmore Township on the report of a theft.

-1:16 a.m.: investigate complaint. Anna Police investigated a complaint at 207 W. Main St.

-12:39 a.m.: crash. Anna Rescue, Jackson Center Fire and Jackson Center Police responded to the 500 block of S. Main St. in Jackson Township on the report of a semitrailer hitting a pole.

WEDNESDAY

-6:05 p.m.: investigate complaint. Jackson Center Police responded to 109 Elder St. in Jackson Township to investigate a complaint.

Fire/rescue

THURSDAY

-10:20 a.m.: fire. Crews were notified of a controlled burn at Only Believe Ministries, which is located at 13815 Botkins Road in Dinsmore Township.

WEDNESDAY

-9:13 p.m.: carbon monoxide. Russia firefighters responded to 103 Borchers St. in Loramie Township on the report of carbon monoxide but found no symptoms.

-5 p.m.: fire. Crews were notified of a controlled burn at 11977 Wenger Road in Franklin Township.

-3:15 p.m.: medical. Anna Rescue responded to a call in the 200 block of West South Street in Franklin Township.

Crashes

No one was cited after a one-vehicle crash on Wednesday at 10:18 a.m.

Michael Martin, 65, of Dayton, was traveling northbound on Fair Road when his vehicle ran onto the shoulder off the east side, continued onto the shoulder and struck and damaged a road sign with the vehicle’s passenger mirror.

• April Frederick, 37, of Fairborn, was cited with driving under suspension after a one-vehicle crash on Wednesday at 1:19 a.m.

Frederick was traveling southeast on state Route 29 and approaching the intersection of Turtle Creek Road when she swerved to miss a deer and went off the right side of the roadway at the southwest corner of the intersection, struck a utility pole with the left front corner of her vehicle and a road sign with the right front corner.

• Hunter Knouff, 19, 101 N. Pike St., Anna, was cited with assured clear distance ahead following a two-vehicle crash on Tuesday at 6:54 p.m.

Knouff was traveling southbound on County Road 25A when she rear-ended the slowing vehicle in front of her that was about to make a left hand turn into 11533 County Road 25A.

The other vehicle was driven by Karen Sayre, 75, 11533 County Road 25A, Sidney.

• No one was cited following a two-vehicle crash on Monday at 3:20 p.m.

Shaylynn Nafzger, 18, 620 Arrowhead Drive, was traveling eastbound on Meranda Road when she failed to stop in time for stopped traffic and gently struck the rear of the vehicle in front of her that was driven by Raymond Castle, 51, of Ada.

According to the sheriff’s report, there was no paint transfer on Castle’s vehicle, but the dome tabs that secure the bumper cover to the metal bumper beneath were broken.
