THURSDAY

-6:19 p.m.: unauthorized use of motor vehicle. Alfred Lambert, 58, 401 Riverside Drive, reported the unauthorized use of his 2001 Ford. The vehicle was later recovered.

-5:48 a.m.: warrant. Daniel Epperson, 24, of Covington, was arrested on a Miami County warrant.

WEDNESDAY

-3:45 p.m.: theft. Savannah Gillem, 20, 2033 Wells Drive, reported the theft of a Bulova gold watch, valued at $450.

-1:05 p.m.: theft. Martha Ahrens, 71, 209 Charles Ave., reported she was scammed out of $1,600 over the phone .

TUESDAY

-10:26 a.m.: theft. An 11-year-old was arrested for theft after his mother reported he stole $180 from her. She recovered $6.

Crashes

Brian Haney, 21, 925 McKinley Ave., was cited for reasonable control after a one-vehicle crash on Friday at 1:50 p.m.

Haney was traveling north-east on Spruce Avenue near Ridgeway Drive when he lost control, went over the curb and struck a Sprint telecommunications pole in front of 1148 Spruce Ave. Haney then continued northbound and left the scene. Police located him later and issued the citation.

• No one was cited after a two-vehicle crash on Thursday at 9:32 p.m.

Scott Hudgins, 53, 760 Country Side Lane, was in the drive-thru lane at McDonald’s on Michigan Street when he rear-ended the vehicle in front of him that was driven by Nicholas Asher, 35, 2500 Leatherwood Creek Road.

• Kaitlyn Tolbert, 21, 2436 Broadway Ave., was cited with assured clear distance ahead after a tw0-vehicle crash on Wednesday at 6:23 p.m.

Tolbert was southbound on Wapakoneta Avenue when she did not stop in time for stopped traffic and rear-ended the vehicle in front of her that was driven by Kevin Latimer, of Anna.

Fire, rescue

FRIDAY

-6:11 a.m.: crash. Medics were dispatched on an automobile crash.

-1:45 t0 10:06 a.m.: medical. Medics responded to three calls.

THURSDAY

-9:48 p.m.: fire. Crews responded to an activated smoke detector, caused from burned food.

-6:39 p.m.: fire. Firefighters conducted a fire investigation as part of mutual aid.

-11:40 a.m. to 9:07 p.m.: medical. Medics responded to nine calls.
