TUESDAY

-5 a.m.: warrant. Joshua Hockett, 30, of Piqua, was arrested on a Miami County warrant.

-12:29 a.m.: theft. Roy Elder Jr., 41, 119 W. Dallas St., reported the theft of two artificial plants, valued at $100, a yard rake, valued at $20, a tobacco roller, valued at $50, and three Derby hats, valued at $60, from his residence.

MONDAY

-6:30 p.m.: warrant. Jason Day, 39, 127 N. Wilkinson Ave., was arrested for domestic violence and on a warrant.

-6 p.m.: obstructing official business. Adam Sherlock, 30, 419 E. Pinehurst St., was arrested for obstructing official business.

-12:57 p.m.: warrant. Michael Parrett, 50, 1220 Morris Ave., was arrested on a Logan County warrant.

-12:55 p.m.: lost property. Penny Ludwig, 51, of Sidney, reported she lost a set of keys, in which one of the keys has No. 1 mom on it, at Kroger on West Michigan Street.

SUNDAY

-2:28 p.m.: criminal damaging. Police are investigating a report that two doors on the vehicle owned by Donna Engle, 75, 520 Culvert St., were damaged at her residence.

-7:12 a.m.: found property. A blue Oakley wallet owned by Cameron Sharp, 25, of Piqua, was found at 554 N. Vandemark Road and was turned into the police department.

SATURDAY

-11:07 a.m.: criminal simulation. The American Legion Post No. 217 on Fourth Street reported to have received a fake $20 bill at the business.

-12:49 a.m.: theft. Troy McRae, 54, 331 Jefferson St., reported the theft of $40.

-12:45 a.m.: driving under the influence. Cameron Oda, 27, of Minster, was arrested for OVI.

-12:13 a.m.: warrant. A 17-year-old female was arrested on a contempt warrant.

FRIDAY

-11:46 p.m.: warrant. Kenneth Williams, 46, 2335 Collins Drive, Apt. H, was arrested on a Kentucky warrant.

-7:38 p.m.: lost property. Matthew Akers, 38, 634 N. Ohio Ave., reported he lost his wallet containing $120, a Chase Bank card, a Menards credit card, two Social Security cards and an ID.

-6:56 p.m.: domestic violence. James Depinet, 44, 514 Second Ave., was arrested for domestic violence.

-5:32 p.m.: warrant. Joshua Jenkins, 30, at large, was arrested on an active parole warrant.

-5:05 p.m.: identity theft. Dustin Johnson, 28, 732 S. Miami Ave., reported someone stole his identity to open a credit card account.

-2:46 p.m.: theft. Tonya Alexander, 44, 514 W. North St., reported the theft of a package from her porch that contained a dog outfit and a cell phone case, valued at $20.87.

-2:41 p.m.: theft. Paul Calhoun, 73, 619 Taft St., reported the theft of $900.

Crashes

Mamie Turnbill, 19, 219 ½ E. Court St., was cited with failure to control after a crash on Sunday at 8:58 a.m.

Turnbill was traveling eastbound down the hill on Washington Street when the vehicle’s brakes failed as she approached the stop sign at North Main Avenue. The vehicle kept going until she struck a utility pole on the east side of the street in the 600 block of North Main Avenue.

Sidney Fire and Police responded to the scene as live wires were on the ground from the utility pole.

• Richard Reier, 50, 624 Mohican Court, was arrested for OVI and was cited with reasonable control after a crash on Saturday at 9:03 p.m.

Reier was traveling northbound on Broadway Avenue and when attempting to make a right turn onto Arrowhead Drive he struck a fire hydrant on the north side of Arrowhead Drive.

-2:34 p.m.: crash. Crews responded to an automobile crash.

-12:57 a.m. to 11:27 p.m.: medical. Medics responded to eight calls.

-4:46 to 11:46 p.m.: medical. Crews responded to five calls.
