-3:53 a.m.: domestic violence. Police arrested Joshua M. Holtzclaw, 27, 301 New St., on a charge of domestic violence. He allegedly assaulted Sarah M. Allen, of the same address.

MONDAY

-4:56 p.m.: contempt. Police arrested Cody S. Hurst, 26, 425 N. Miami Ave., on a warrant.

-3:21 p.m.: disorderly conduct. Police were called to the area of Miami Avenue and North Street on a report that an intoxicated man was down in the street. Police arrested James E. Hughes, 44, at large, on a charge of disorderly conduct.

-2:41 p.m.: identity theft. Danielle Holloway, 1113 Hilltop Ave., Apt. B, reported identity theft.

-12:58 p.m.: unruly juvenile. A woman reported a juvenile had been unruly.

-11:30 a.m.: contempt. Police arrested Casey Hughes, 33, 2686 State Route 29 North, on a contempt warrant.

SUNDAY

-8:47 p.m.: criminal damaging. Mark Ouellette, 530 Franklin Ave., reported a juvenile damaged a window at his residence. Loss was $100.

-8:15 p.m.: property found. A purse was found and given to police. It was identified as the property of Chynna Shurelds, of New Bremen.

-3:37 p.m.: burglary. A burglary was reported at the residence of Marie Cable, 1213 Hilltop Ave., Apt. A.

-11:01 a.m.: possession of drugs. Police arrested Melissa Blair, 31, 311 N. Walnut Ave., at 1529 Michigan St. on a charge of possession of drugs.

-7:26 a.m.: theft. Roy Elder Jr., 311 Maple St., reported a pellet pistol, valued at $100, was stolen from his residence.

-12:48 a.m.: assault. Clinton Cramer, 629 N. West Ave., reported her was assault at his residence.

SATURDAY

-6:15 p.m.: theft. Jeremy Risdon, 629 N. West Ave., reported the theft of a tent, valued at $60, from his residence.

-4:06 p.m.: warrant. Police arrested James M. Richards, 51, 125 W. Water St., on a warrant.

-3:27 p.m.: theft. Troy Huddleston, 815 Arrowhead Drive, Apt. F, reported an amplifier and 15 CDs, valued at $450, and $20 in change were stolen from his vehicle overnight at his residence.

-10:34 a.m.: property found. A bicycle abandoned at 624 Chestnut Ave. was given to police.

-3 a.m.: assault. Amy Cramer, 629 N. West Ave., reported someone purposely kicked a table into her leg. She had a minor injury.

-2:21 a.m.: menacing. Jeramy Ridson, 134 Pike St., reported someone threatened him.

-1:01 a.m.: assault. Dustin Boggs, 215 N. Pomeroy Ave., was assaulted at 126 N. Ohio Ave. He had an apparent minor injury.

FRIDAY

-8:52 p.m.: criminal damaging. A rear window at the residence of Marilyn McMaken, 626 Mohican Court, was damaged. Loss was $200.

-6:07 p.m.: warrant. Police arrested Timothy E. Hughes, 34, 338 Linden Ave., on a warrant from the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office.

-4:09 p.m.: theft. Natalie Price, 626 Mohican Court, reported the theft of two cell phones from her residence.

-3:02 p.m.: theft and forgery. A check for $280 belonging to Robert E. Lontz, 411 N. Wagner Ave., was stolen from the residence.

-12:34 p.m.: warrant. Police arrested Carl J. Cummins Jr., 22, of Lewistown, on a warrant.

-11:03 a.m.: driving under the influence. Police arrested Robert Howk, 49, of Troy, at 603 Oak Ave. on a charge of driving under the influence.

THURSDAY

-5:43 p.m.: possession of drugs. Police investigated an incident involving two capsules of heroin at Ohio Avenue and South Street. Investigation is continuing.

-4:49 p.m.: theft. John Burton, of Mason, reported someone attempted to cash a check at US Bank, 111 N. Vandemark Road.

OCT. 21

-8:59 p.m.: theft. Personnel at Frickers reported a customer left the restaurant without paying for her drinks. Loss was $25.

Accidents

Shirley McDougle, 53, 1209 Hilltop Ave., Apt. E, was cited with a stop sign violation after an accident Friday at 4:46 p.m.

McDougle was facing west at a stop sign on Williams Street at St. Marys Avenue. She pulled into the intersection and hit a southbound car driven by Patty A. Ferree, 78, 150 Northwood St., Apt. 111, that was in the right lane. The Ferree auto spun and went off the right side of the street, hitting two mailboxes. An auto that was southbound in the left lane then hit the McDougle car. The driver of that auto was Bobby J. Kelly, 1308 Sixth Ave.

• R. Joseph Ross, 47, of Piqua, was cited with failure to maintain an assured clear distance after an accident Friday at 4:55 p.m.

Ross, driving a semi rig, was stopped behind a car on the southbound exit ramp of Interstate 75 at Michigan Street. He told police his foot slipped off the clutch pedal, causing the truck to go forward and hit the car ahead of him in the rear. The driver of the car was Daniel L. Blagg, 68, 216 S. Franklin St., New Bremen.

• Randall P. Shadoan, 56, 501 N. Wagner Ave., was cited with improper backing after an accident Friday at 10:32 p.m.

Shadoan backed into a parked auto in the 100 block of South Wilkinson Avenue. The owner of the parked car was Robert M. Nichols, 104 S. Wilkinson Ave.

• Brian M. Kinkle, 26, 334 S. Main Ave., was cited with driving under the influence and failure to control after an accident Friday at 7:41 p.m.

Kinkle was eastbound on Michigan Street at Wayfarer Lane. He told police his passenger grabbed the steering wheel to avoid a collision with vehicles that were stopped for a red traffic light. The car went over the curb and hit two light poles.

• Kayleigh Jones, 19, of Piqua, was cited with failure to control after an accident Saturday at 5:17 p.m.

Jones was driving northwest on West Court Street, approaching Fourth Avenue. She told police her car hydroplaned and hit a car stopped ahead of her. The driver of the other auto was Dennis W. Jenkins, 47, 6575 Hardin-Wapakoneta Road.

• John T. Lore, 35, 12529 State Route 362, Minster, was cited with driving under the influence and failure to maintain an assured clear distance after an accident Saturday at 5:26 p.m.

Lore, driving a pickup truck, was eastbound on Michigan Street and hit the rear of a pickup truck that was stopped on Michigan at Sixth Avenue for a red traffic light. The driver of the other vehicle was Travis Piatt, 35, 241 N. Pomeroy Ave.

Fire, rescue

TUESDAY

-7:07 a.m.: Medics responded to a call.

MONDAY

-1:42 a.m. to 11:55 p.m.: Medics responded to 14 calls.

-3:26 p.m.: alarm. Firefighters were called to 1909 Burkewood Drive by a fire alarm. It was a false alarm.

SUNDAY

-7:30 p.m.: open burn. Firefighters were called to 505 N. Main Ave., where an open burn was not in compliance with city regulations.

-2:04 to 6:11 p.m.: Medics responded to six calls.

-2:24 p.m.: open burn. Firefighters were called to 420 E. Court St., where an open burn was not in compliance with city regulations.
