WEDNESDAY

-11:01 p.m.: burglary. Drama Bey, 202 Brooklyn Ave., reported someone broke into her residence.

-1:34 p.m.: identity theft. Roseanne Gray, 620 East Ave., reported someone filed taxes in her name in 2013.

-11:43 a.m.: criminal damaging. A vehicle was driven into Berger Park off South Miami Avenue and made ruts in the grass for 242 feet. Loss was $484.

-8:42 a.m.: contempt. Police arrested Matthew S. Clemons, 28, of Cincinnati, on a warrant from Sidney Municipal Court.

-6:50 a.m.: breaking and entering. Someone broke a window and entered the Sidney City Schools’ maintenance storage building at 336 E. Poplar St. A chainsaw and power tools, valued at $400, were stolen.

Accidents

Karen Francis, 69, 2278 W. Russell Road, was cited with failure to yield the right of way after an accident Wednesday at 8:18 a.m.

Francis exited from 425 W. Russell Road and turned left onto Russell and collided with a westbound pickup truck driven by Leo Woods Jr., 45, 1340 Grove St.

• Carly A. Wagner, 39, 256 E. Fifth St., Minster, was cited with failure to yield the right of way after an accident Wednesday at 4:13 p.m.

Wagner pulled from Graceland Place onto South Ohio Avenue and collided with a southbound auto driven by Chelsie L. Brautigam, 17, 18259 Maloney Road.

• Carlose G. Rogers Jr., 40, 211 Maple St., was cited with improper backing after an accident Wednesday at 4:21 p.m.

Rogers was stopped southbound in the 600 block of St. Marys Avenue because of children in the roadway. Rogers backed up and hit a car stopped behind him driven by Nikolas Soder, 24, 207 W. South St., Botkins.

• An accident occurred Wednesday at 6:08 p.m. in the 100 block of West Parkwood Street.

Tomah C. Leonheart, 72, 850 Countryside Lane, Apt. D, was westbound. Gail L. Sale, 70, 13401 Fey Road, Anna, was eastbound. Leonheart drifted to the center of the street. Sale stopped, but the vehicles collided. No citations were issued.

• Damage was minor to both vehicles in an accident involving a Sidney Department of Fire & Emergency Services pickup truck Wednesday at 7:12 p.m.

Douglas Stammen, 51, driving the city vehicle, was backing in the parking lot at 260 S. Stolle Ave. and hit the parked pickup truck of Beverly Brown, 219 Doering St.

Fire, rescue

THURSDAY

-3:11 to 6:45 a.m.: Medics responded to three calls.

WEDNESDAY

-11:38 p.m.: alarm. Firefighters were called to the 2600 block of Campbell Road by a fire alarm. It was an accidental alarm.

-10:45 a.m. to 9:27 p.m.: Medics responded to seven calls.

-6:50 p.m.: fire. Firefighters were called to 260 S. Stolle Ave. for a fire investigation. The fire was out on their arrival.

-5:30 p.m.: open burn. Firefighters were called to an open burn in the 800 block of South Lynn Street. The fire was not in compliance with city regulations.

-1:54 p.m.: open burn. Firefighters were called to an open burn in the 500 block of Franklin Avenue. The fire was not in compliance with city regulations.
