SIDNEY — Sidney American Legion Post 217 Commander Jim Moorman has announced the high school delegates to the 2018 Ohio American Legion Buckeye Boys State.

Colin Freisthuler, son of Missy and Terry Freistuhler, Caleb Johnson, son of Tammi and Brian Johnson, and Aiden Smith, son of Kendra and Robert Smith, are juniors at Sidney High School. Conor O’Leary, son of Emily and David O’Leary, Mitchell Sollmann, son of Kara and Jeramie Sollmann, Joe Ritze, son of Molly and Michael Ritze, and Michael Denning, son of Gail and Rick Denning, are juniors at Lehman Catholic High School. They all live in Sidney.

Boys State is a national program that gives boys experience in the operation of the democratic form of government, the organization of political parties and the relationship of one to the other in shaping state government.

Buckeye Boys State will be at Miami University, June 10-17.
