BLUFFTON — Courtney Zimpfer, of Jackson Center, is participating in a Bluffton University cross-cultural experience in Iceland during the month of May.

Zimpfer, along with other Bluffton students, will experience an island nation which has made great strides toward building a nonviolent, ecologically sustainable and egalitarian society.

Zimpfer, daughter of Mitch and Jody Keith, is a junior majoring in dietetics. She was a 2015 graduate of Jackson Center High School.

This experience will fulfill Bluffton’s undergraduate cross-cultural requirement that must be completed before graduation. Students can either complete a cross-cultural experience or take six credit hours in one foreign language.
