SHS Music Boosters award scholarships

SIDNEY — Several Sidney High School seniors were awarded scholarships from the SHS Music Boosters totaling $10,000 during a Senior Night Awards Ceremony on Thursday May 17.

Students receiving scholarships were Jennifer Barnes, $2,000, SHS Music Booster Scholarship; Evan Burden, $1,500, SHS Music Booster Scholarship; Laura Brady, $1,500, SHS Music Booster Scholarship; Gavin Miller, $1,250, SHS Music Booster Scholarship; Jenna Beatty, $750, Helyn Hobby Spinner Family Scholarship; Avery Voress, $750, SHS Music Booster Scholarship; Lucas Finke, $750, SHS Music Booster Scholarship; Caleb Straman, $500, SHS Music Booster Scholarship; Ayaka Machimura, $500, SHS Music Booster Scholarship; and Jenna Beremand, $500, SHS Music Booster Scholarship.

Over the last several years, the SHS Music Boosters has honored several students and awarded more than $60,000 in scholarships.

The 2018-19 SHS Music Booster officers are President Stephanie Wilson, Vice President Lori Humphrey, Treasurer Kathryn Koester and Secretary Sherri Overholser.
