H-H press box gets donation

HOUSTON — The Hardin-Houston Board of Education accepted a donation of $2,780 from the Chester McKinney Memorial Fund for the track press box during its regular monthly meeting on Monday, July 16.

The board also authorized the Southwestern Ohio Educational Purchasing Council to advertise and receive bids for bus purchases.

School lunch prices were approved and will be $2 for grades kindergarten through six, $2.15 for grades seven through twelve, 40 cents for reduced, $2.50 for staff, and $1.25 for breakfast.

The board approved the employment of Leslie Heintz as intervention specialist, and Maryanne Siefring as long-term substitute.

The Preschool Education Contract with the Shelby County Board of Developmental Disabilities was approved, as well as the Program Services Agreement with the Midwest Regional ESC.

The board also accepted the resignations of Brad Allen as high school boys baseball coach, and John Drapp as bus driver.

The next board meeting is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 20, at 7 p.m., in the Media Center.
