SIDNEY — The Sidney Noon Kiwanis Club has named Amber Buehler the December 2015 Teen of the Month.

Buehler is a senior at Botkins High School and ranks first in her class, with a grade point average of 4.0.

Amber is the daughter of Keith and Dawn Buehler. She has two siblings, Renee, 22, and Adam, 20.

Her academic activities, honors and awards include National Honor Society, Academia, Whiz Quiz, Envirothon, JETS Team and Scholastic Bowl. Buehler has been a scholar athlete for four years and on the honor roll for four years.

She has been a member of FCCLA, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, 4-H, band, track and swim team. Buehler has been a 4-H camp counselor, a blood donor, a member of the All Ohio State Fair Band and a member of Ohio Ambassadors of Music. She is the American Legion Americanism Award recipient; an FCCLA Environmental Ambassador regional competition silver medalist and state competition gold medali; and a national participant.

In the fall, Buehler plans to study biology on the pre-med track.
