LIMA — The Ohio State Beauty Academy will present a student talent showcase, Oct. 18, at 6:30 p.m. in the University of Northwestern Ohio Event Center, 1450 N. Cable Road, Lima.

Admission is free.

The show has the theme, “Tim Burton – The Character Collection.” It will feature hairstyles, makeup application, nail art and costume design inspired by the wide array of characters featured in Tim Burton’s movies. There are 50 students and 52 models competing in the show. Students are competing in the following five categories: Hair Styling, Nail Art, Costume Design, Makeup Application and Peer Evaluation. Each student will be judged on the following criteria: Creativity and Uniqueness, Degree of Difficulty, Technical Skill, Presentation/Neatness and Overall Look.
