Well- known children’s artist and illustrator Steve Harpster visited Holy Angels School recently to teach youngsters a mini-art course on drawing. In the last six years, Harpster has toured across the United States teaching drawing skills to students in grades K-5. His drawing “method” focuses on transforming various numbers and letters into cartoon characters, such as baby animals, silly monsters, and the like. This Ohio native has written a series of “how to draw” books for children. The books are available for purchase at Holy Angels School until Friday, Oct. 26, and at Amazon.com. He may be contacted at www.Harptoons.com.
