Food drive a success

HOUSTON — Houston High School’s chapter of the National Honor Society has announced the results of its Thanksgiving Food Drive.

The total number of items donated was 2,695. That team that brought in the most comprised students in first, second and 11th grades, who collectively donated 1,019 items for a total of 7.49 items per student. The second grade brought in the most, with 536 items.

The items will be used to help families in the Houston community. The NHS adviser is Stephanie Merickel.
