SIDNEY — The family of the late William Gephart will award a scholarship in his memory and to honor his livelong love of horses.

The scholarship will be awarded to a Shelby County graduating senior who plans to pursue a career in the equine industry or who has been actively involved with horses through 4-H, FFA or other organizaitons.

There is no GPA requirement to apply. The amount of the scholarship will be $750. Students may attend a certificate, two-year or four-year program.

The application deadline is March 31. School counselors have application forms.
