Minster principal resigns

MINSTER – Dr.. Jason Spencer is leaving his position as Minster Senior/Junior High Principal, effective July 31, 2019. The Minster Board of Education will be accepting his resignation at their meeting Monday night.

Minster Superintendent Brenda Boecke said Spencer has accepted an administrative position with a school district in Cincinnati.

Spencer began his time with Minster Schools in August 2017. With his doctorate, Boeke said his annual salary was $94,200.

Spencer previously spent two years as principal of the Villages High School in Florida. Prior to that he was principal at Buckeye Valley and Worthington City Schools. He served as an assistant principal at Seminole County Public Schools and was a teacher in the Orange County Public Schools from 1999 to 2007.

Boecke said they will post the high/junior high position on Tuesday, March 19.

“We appreciated the time Dr. Spencer spent with Minster Schools, and wish him good luck in the future,” said Boecke.
