Wilson receives Ph.D. from Marquette University

SIDNEY — Dr. David H. Wilson, of Sidney, has earned his Ph.D in the field of Mechanical Engineering from Marquette University.

Wilson, the son of Rebecca “Becky” Wilson, of Sidney, and the late David J. Wilson, received his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D) in Mechanical Engineering from Marquette University (MU) on May 18, 2019. His specializations are in energy systems and bayesian signal processing.

He is a 2010 graduate of Troy High School. He received his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Milwaukee School of Engineering in 2014. He earned his Masers Degree from Marquette University.

While at Marquette University, he received a Marquette University Research Leaders Fellow in 2016 and Marquette University Outstanding Research Assistant Award in 2016.

He was a studentt member of the Combustion Institute. His field of study group/memberships include combustion sciences, engine emissions and bayesian signal processing.

Wilson’s research has been published in the peer reviewed journals of Combustion and Flame, Fuel, and Energy & Fuels. He has also presented his research findings at multiple regional and national conferences between 2017-19.
