September 4, 2019 was the first day of my senior year – FINALLY, I waited 12 years for this. If I knew then where we’d be today, I might have held on more to each day. Fast forward to April 20, 2020, the day we found out we are not returning to school. Either way, we will graduate. Maybe the old fashion way or some new way. I am sharing this picture for several significant reasons:
1- I did it.
2- One of my favorite teachers delivered this sign to my house, Ms. Buechter. She believed in me and gave me the opportunity to grow, accepting me for who I am.
3- The teacher who took this photo, Mrs. Olding. Thank you for taking the time to make each one of us feel special this day and every day throughout the entire year.
As my parents say, “adapt, adjust and overcome”. Our class has certainly done that –
