Meeting my favorite people

Every year the high school holds a clap out to congratulate the seniors. People clap to congratulate them for getting all their school credits and AIR Testing points. They also clap to encourage students as they go to college or begin their adult lives.

This is the last walk seniors have walking down the halls they have lived in for the past four years.

Since starting my high school career, I have always anticipated the day that I would get to walk across the football field and recieve my diploma. I have finished what some say are the four of the best years of my life.

These are two big moments that my friends and I have looked forward to our whole career, and without much warning, they were ripped away. It makes me sad to know that my class will not get to experience the normal senior year that everyone hypes up your whole life.

Even though we are missing the last 2.5 months of our last year, I’m super grateful that I got to spend the majority of this year with my friends and teachers who I’m going to miss so much when I leave for college in the fall. High school is where I met my favorite people and school itself taught me a lot. I will always remember it.

This picture was taken the day before we started our senior year. We all gathered at the stadium to watch the sunrise. The Class of 2020 sat on the football field, ate donuts, and talked about all the things we’d get to do this school year. Pictured are, left to right, Soleil Drinnen, Kaitlyn Van Zant, Ranaya Conrad and Aleyce Cunningham.
