Our friendship is never ‘uncertain’

My best friend, TJ L and I in our traditional pose of me holding him. We have done this in nearly every picture of importance from Middle school until now. We do it for band pictures, swim pictures, summer camp, or just because we were hanging out.

For our final “pose” we had planned to switch it up, with TJ holding me for a change. Now I know this is silly, but I believe it symbolizes where our friendship has been and where it can go because it really doesn’t matter who is holding who up, as long as you are there for your friends.

Maybe we won’t get to take our “finale” picture at graduation, maybe we’ll have to do it before we leave for college or after COVID-19 comes to an end, but, if this pandemic has taught me anything, it’s that one thing that isn’t “uncertain” is the relationships we have built over the past 18 years.
