My feelings about this year…

JACKSON CENTER — This year has taken a much unexpected turn. I would never have imagined that this pandemic would happen during my lifetime, let alone, my senior year of High School.

I did not expect to finish my last three months of high school at home and online. I never thought that I would miss the end of the basketball season cheering on the boys during the tournament.

I am never going to be able to experience the last week of senior year. I am going to miss prank day at the school, the official last day of school, and hanging out with my classmates in the parking lot. I will not have a normal Prom week or a normal graduation.

I am missing all of these things that I have been looking forward to the whole entire year. This is very saddening to me, but I just have to stay positive through all of this and hope that it ends shortly.

Soccer has been a huge part of my life and I would not be where I am at if soccer wasn’t in my life. These two girls are my fellow senior soccer mates and they made my last year of soccer one of the most memorable. I would not have wanted to end my soccer career with anyone else, including the rest of my teammates.
