‘We’re all in this together’

0

Senior year was supposed to be one of the best years of my life. COVID-19 ripped all of that away.

I can no longer walk through the hallways of Sidney High and greet all of my favorite friends and teachers. No more goofing around in the hallways or musical practices after school. I will never get to see my senior night for choir and I may not get to walk across that turf for graduation.

That isn’t going to keep Sidney’s class of 2020 down.

Our class has been through so much together, good and bad, and I know we’re going to get through this. Most of us don’t mind giving up what could have been because we want to be healthy and we want our family and friends to be healthy. So, although it’s been really rough to have this hand dealt to us, we know how to play our cards. My class, my seniors, we will be okay. We’re all in this together.

This picture was taken right after symphonic choir received all ones at OMEA. Being able to get all ones at my last OMEA performance made me so proud.
