Wishing for one more dance

0

We thought we had one more dance left in our high school career. We thought we would get to have senior skip day, and be with our classmates for at least another month.

However, the world had other plans.

This picture is of three of my best friends and I at what potentially could have been our last high school dance ever. This night was what I would call perfect. Most of all it was planned. I did not have to wait around and see if it would be cancelled or if we would have it three months later.

Change has become the new normal.

We are forced to wait and wait in order to know what’s going to happen. Us seniors along with everyone else in the community are waiting to find out whether we will get our senior prom, and graduation ceremony.

Although it is out of our hands, it’s still quite devastating.

Oh what I would do to walk the halls of SHS one last time.

If this has taught me anything at all, it would definitely be to never take a single second of life for granted. We now know how fast it can be taken..
