JACKSON CENTER — Going into my senior year of high school I did not expect it to end as it has.
I remember looking forward to watching the boys basketball team go on their tournament run, have my final track season with all of my friends, and do all of the fun senior privileges that come at the end of the school year. My classmates and I have been planning our senior “skip day,” our last day pranks, our last prom, and our class campout in the parking lot of the school since the beginning of the year.
It is heartbreaking to not be able to do the things we looked forward to, but this pandemic has really put life into perspective. It has taught me not to take things for granted, even things as simple as having the ability to go to school everyday and see my favorite teachers and my friends.
I am praying that we will be able to return to school to be able to have at least a couple of weeks before saying goodbye to high school forever. I am forever grateful for the experiences I had, the people I met, and the things I have learned from Jackson Center. For one last time, GO TIGERS!
