Overcoming senior year obstacles

0

I’m going to be completely honest.

Going into senior year it felt a bit off, but I never expected anything like this to ever happen. Ever since kindergarten, I have been in the SCS school system and would not trade it for the world.

From the distinct smell of the hallways, to seeing the same faces in the hallways even when I didn’t want to. I’d be lying if I said SCS was all sunshine and rainbows, because it’s not but it could’ve been way worse.

The teachers and staff at SCS have been unmatchable in terms of hospitality and helpfulness and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I’m really going to miss seeing all my friends, playing in band class, seeing my teachers, and staying up till 3 a.m. completing Olding essays.

I really took all of this for granted and I really regret it. There would be nothing that would beat being in school surrounded by my friends and teachers living out my senior year but unfortunately that’s not going to happen.

Although destroyed, our senior year is not over. We can overcome these obstacles and end our year on a good note no matter the challenges we face. I love SCS and all my friends and teachers and they will always hold a special place in my mind and heart as I move on towards bigger things going into college.

I wish everyone the best of luck in their future.
