This year was a roller coaster. The beginning of the year started off with the best volleyball season, and my struggle to apply to colleges. The season ended; I dug into my studies and eagerly awaited my college decisions.
Attending Friday football games, homecoming, and orchestra rehearsals, I savored life, and lived it to the fullest. Next, I celebrated New Years, and I looked forward to an easy last semester. March rolled around, and I went on a family vacation, simultaneously, the world learned about Covid-19. Then my world crashed in on itself because I said goodbye to my dog, BB.
The week after, I travelled to D.C. with the Ohio American Legion. Then I returned home for my last week of high school.
Now, graduation is changing, and our senior events are being cancelled. Even though the last few months have been a whirlwind of travesties for my senior year, I can’t forget what the beginning brought me, and the happiness I found in it. It may not be the end I imagined, but I still have my friends, and we get to make our own memories in our own ways.
