Students compete in archery tournament

SIDNEY — Christian Academy Schools archery club held its tournament on Feb. 25. The club was made up of 25 students from 7-12th grade. They practiced every Wednesday in January and February with the tournament being held inhouse.

The top three middle school boys and girls were recognized with trophies, as well as the top three high school boys and girls. Also, the student with the overall highest score and the most improved were recognized with trophies.

In addition to the trophies given out, the students with the top five scores attended an archery tournament on Thursday, March 4, at Big Bucks Archery in St. Henry where they competed against two other schools top five archers from Ohio and Indiana.

The students who represented Christian Academy were senior Addison Morris, son of Joe and Amanda Morris of Botkins; junior Madi Rohrbach, daughter of Jon and Stephenie Rohrbach of Piqua; sophomore Jeffrey Blackford, son of Jett Blackford of Sidney and Heather Taynor of Dayton; freshman Cory Blackford, son of Jett and Amber Blackford of Sidney; and freshman Isaiah Abbott, son of Steve and Doris Abbott of Sidney.
