Students begin college careers

MARIETTA — When in-person classes began for the 2021 fall semester, Marietta College welcomed approximately 360 new students who are studying in one of the more than 50 majors or have chosen to not declare a major.

Beginning their college careers are:

Derek Cline, of De Graff, is a graduate of Indian Lake High School and is majoring in Health Science.

Paige Doseck, of Botkins, is a graduate of Botkins Local High School and is majoring in Musical Theatre.

Located in Marietta, Ohio, at the confluence of the Muskingum and Ohio rivers, Marietta College is a four-year liberal arts college. Tracing its roots to the Muskingum Academy back in 1797, the College was officially chartered in 1835. Today Marietta College serves a body of 1,200 full-time students.
