Ohio University releases dean’ list

ATHENS, OH (02/23/2022)— More than 5,000 students qualified for the fall semester 2021 dean’s list at Ohio University, including main and regional campuses.

Local students named to the dean’s list were College of Arts and Sciences student Courtney Batten, of Versailles; College of Arts and Sciences student Allison Grieshop, of Minster; College of Arts and Sciences student Trent Langenkamp, of Versailles; College of Arts and Sciences student Alice Schmiesing, of Minster; College of Business student Taylor Spence, of Anna; Scripps College of Communication student Avery Allison, of Jackson Center; Russ College of Engineering and Technology student Jonah Brautigam, of Sidney; Russ College of Engineering and Technology student Mackensie Littlefield, of Anna; College of Fine Arts student Lauren Birkmeyer, of Houston; College of Fine Arts student Nathan Poeppelman, of Anna; College of Fine Arts student Shelby Reed, of DeGraff; College of Fine Arts student Allison Roush, of Sidney; College of Health Sciences and Professions student Meghan Bell, of Sidney; College of Health Sciences and Professions student Leah Kelsey, of DeGraff; College of Health Sciences and Professions student Alicia Weadock, of New Knoxville; University College student Owen Godwin, of DeGraff; University College student Bethany Hayslett of Sidney; University College student Allison Mckee, of DeGraff; and University College student Ashley Roush, of Sidney.

Over 40 states were represented on thedean’s list,including: Arizona, Connecticut, California, Florida, Illinois, Rhode Island, Texas and Ohio. Students also represented Ireland, India, China, Oman and Switzerland.

Ohio students must earn at least a 3.5 grade point average for the semester with a schedule of classes totaling at least 15 hours, 12 of which were taken for letter grades, to achieve this distinction.
