SIDNEY — Minster Bank awarded $15,000 in scholarships to local recipients (shown left to right). Each of the following received a $1,000 Minster Bank scholarship and were chosen by their respective school’s scholarship committees based upon their academics and pursuit of a business degree.
Receiving scholarships were Ayden Rench, Covington High School; Abigail Swearingen, Fairlawn High School; Colleen Brandewie, Fort Loramie High School; Elijah Beaver, Houston High School; Samuel Range, Lehman Catholic High School; Alexis Brunswick, Marion Local High School; Maura Baumer, Minster High School; Emma Baumbauer, New Bremen High School; Avery Henschen, New Knoxville High School; Landon Davis, Sidney High School; Audrey Ruth, St. Marys Memorial High School; Daniel Rekow, Troy High School; Noah King, Troy Christian; Evangeline Stalter, Vandalia-Butler High School; and Connor Brown, Wapakoneta High School.
Rench is a Covington High School graduate and is the son of Jim and Shanda Rench. He will major in Theater/Acting at Edison State Community College.
Swearingen, a Fairlawn graduate, plans to major in Supply Chain Management at Florida Gulf Coast University. She is the daughter of Brent and Libbey Swearingen.
Fort Loramie graduate Brandewie will major in Business/Finance at Ohio State University. She is the daughter of Jeff and Stacy Brandewie.
Beaver is the son of Matt and Becky Beaver. The Houston graduate will study Civil Engineering at UD-Sinclair Academy.
Lehman graduate Range, is the son of Jerry and Karen Range. He plans to study Business – Marketing and Sales at Miami University.
Marion Local graduate Brunswick, is the daughter of Chad and Jenny Brunswick. Brunswick plans to study Business/Law at Grace College.
Baumer is a Minster High School graduate, and is the daughter of Ben and Jill Baumer. She will attend Ohio State University-Lima Campus with an Agricultural Communications major.
Baumbauer, daughter of Rob and Michele Baumbauer, is a New Bremen graduate. She plans to attend Hocking College, majoring in Fashion Design and Retail Merchandising.
New Knoxville native Henschen, plans to major in Accounting at Wheeling University. She is the daughter of Jeff and Shelley Henschen.
Ruth, of St. Marys, is the daughter Dan Ruth and Jenny Bishop. She will attend Miami University and major in Economics.
Davis, of Sidney, is the son of Darin and Renee Davis. He plans to major in Business at Edison Community College.
Rekow, son of Craig and Jessy Rekow, is a graduate of Troy High School. He plans to major in Economics at Ohio State University.
Troy Christian graduate King is the son of Shaun and Jessi King. He plans to attend Ohio Christian University and major in Business.
Vandalia-Butler graduate Statler is the daughter of Stephen and Rosemary Statler. She plans to study Accounting at Ohio University.
Brown, of Wapakoneta, is the son of John and Jennifer Brown. He will be attending University of Northwestern Ohio to study Business.
