Botkins FFA successful at State Judging Competitions

BOTKINS — The Botkins FFA General Livestock Team and Equine Team both participated in the State Finals for judging on Saturday, April 30.

The General Livestock Team placed 5th out of 169 teams. Leading the team was Micah Smock who placed 2nd out of 899 individuals, next was Joshua Miller who placed 3rd, then Evan Aufderhaar placed 39th individual and Zane Egbert placed 42nd individual.

The Equine Team placed 2nd out of 123 teams. Coring for the team was Madeline Okuley who placed 1st out 399 individuals, next was Madison Steinke placing 9th, then Payton Amstutz placing 24th individual and Kayla Kohler placing 34th individual. Both teams have qualified for national competitions in the fall.
