Emerson Climate Technologies awards scholarships

SIDNEY – Emerson Climate Technologies has awarded three scholarships to local students.

Audrey Fields, daughter of Earl and Leslie Fields, of Sidney, has been awarded the Rudolf G. Berg Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to one applicant annually, and is available to all high school seniors in Shelby County schools and the Upper Valley Career Center.

Fields, a graduate of Sidney High School, plans to attend The Ohio State University to study biomechanical engineering.

Winners of the Rudolf G. Berg Scholarship receive $2,500 for an undergraduate degree program. Selection is made based on academic performance and character.

Hannah Schmitmeyer, daughter of Rick and Pam Schmitmeyer, of Minster, has been awarded the Emerson Climate Technologies Scholarship.

Schmitmeyer, a graduate of Minster High School, plans to attend the University of Toledo and study Pharmacy.

Amber Buehler, daughter of Dawn and Keith Buehler, of Botkins, has been awarded the Emerson Climate Technologies Scholarship.

Buehler, a Botkins High School graduate, plans to attend The Ohio State University and study Medicine.

The Emerson Climate Technologies Scholarship is awarded annually to children of Emerson Climate employees. Recipeints receive $2,500 per academic year for each year of a four-year undergraduate degree program. Selection is made based on academic performance, character and leadership qualities, and participation in extra-curricular activities.
