COLUMBUS — The Fort Loramie FFA team placed fifth overall at the state Agricultural Technology and Mechanical Systems CDE competition last Friday at The Ohio State University.

The team, whose members include Ethan Broerman, Nick Pleiman, and Austin Meyer, competed in three individual events and one team activity. The individual events included electricity, machinery, and welding. In the team activity, they had to use problem solving techniques and apply them to real life situations.

Ethan Broerman placed second overall out of 277 competitors, followed by Austin Meyer placing 13th, and Nick Pleiman placing 23rd overall.
