RUSSIA — Russia Local School was honored to have Miss Ohio, Alice Magoto, give a speech on the harmful effects of bullying earlier this month.

October is National Bullying Prevention Month, and over 3.2 million students fall victim to bullying each year. Magoto gave a personal account of her own experience with bullying to students in grades 7-12.

Interestingly enough, Miss Ohio has family ties to Russia Local School. Four of her cousins, Alyssa, Kelsey, Faith, and Lee Magoto all attend the school.
