NK BOE approves hires

NEW KNOXVILLE — The New Knoxville Board of Education approved personnel issues during its regular meeting, Nov. 21.

Bonnie Rismiller was hired as a substitute bus driver; Kelly Wildermuth, as a substitute bus driver, substitute custodian and substitute cafeteria aide; Sam Stone as a line judge; Deb Casazza and Julie Baldwin as substitute teachers; Cathy Doseck as interim treasurer beginning Feb. 1; and Addison Farley as a videographer.

The board accepted the resignation of head volleyball coach Kay Webb.

In other business, the board approved a new health informationt echnology program at Tri-Star to begin in the fall of 2017 and approved several board policies.

Superintendent Kim Waterman announced that staff will attend a training session Dec. 19 in mental health first aide.

Jenny Fledderjohann, junior high/high school principal, presented a report about students selected for a leadership conference and Ohio Music Educators Association District III ensembles.

Technology class students presented a demonstration of the programming work they have been doing.
