Edison State brings Gee to campus for forum

PIQUA — Edison State Community College will welcome Dr. Gordon Gee to campus to lead a Higher Education Efficiency Forum on Thursday, March 23, 2017.

The one-day forum will emphasize time-tested innovative technologies, shared success stories, and cooperative cost-saving arrangements that can propel higher education to the next level. With mandates at the state level for both two- and four-year institutions to facilitate and leverage resources, this forum is an essential for higher education leaders and officials.

Gee, who has helmed universities for more than three decades and was named one of the top 10 university presidents in the United States by Time magazine, will provide a keynote address that focuses on the effects and challenges of “Efficiencies in Higher Education.”

Ohio Department of Higher Education Chancellor John Carey, along with State Representatives, Senators and higher education leaders from across Ohio will also deliver speeches to the day’s topic of discussion.

The event will be held at Edison State Community College located at 1973 Edison Drive in Piqua, Ohio, and will begin at 8 a.m. and conclude at 4 p.m. The cost to attend is $199 per person and includes breakfast, lunch and parking.
