SIDNEY — Roll out the Red Carpet …. The Sidney High Student Government is hosting the annual homecoming dance with the theme “Hollywood.” Colors for the dance will be black, gold and red.

A pep assembly on Friday, Oct. 2, will begin the homecoming activities for SHS students. The SHS band and cheerleaders from all levels will kick off the festivities. Greg Snyder’s Television Production class will present a video slide show highlighting each court candidate. Court members will then participate in various competitions.

The homecoming parade will kick off at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2, at the Shelby County Fairgrounds and will end at about 6:15 at Sidney Memorial Stadium. SHS teachers will judge the floats on design, spirit and theme. Participants in the parade will include all court members riding in convertibles and class floats. The parade will head south on Highland Ave and then West on Campbell Road to the high school. The winning class float will be announced after crowning.
