Trenton Monnin and Katie Swartz were crowned Russia High School king and queen Saturday during the Russia Junior-Senior Prom. Monnin is the son of Kathy Monnin and Alex Monnin. Swartz is the daughter of Jerry and Sherry Swartz. St. Remy Hall was decorated by the junior class and the theme chosen was “The World Awaits.” Those attending the prom were treated to a dinner banquet. Senior students entertained the juniors, seniors and their dates, senior parents and school staff with the class history, class poem, class prophecy and class will. The crowning of the king and queen of the junior-senior prom took place after the banquet and speeches. After prom was held at Russia School from midnight to 1:30 a.m. Activities were planned for all the students and gifts were awarded.
