BOTKINS — Students of Botkins High School will have a sweet time at their 2017 prom, Saturday, May 6.
They’ll be dancing in Candyland. That’s this year’s theme. The event will begin with a promenade at 7:45 p.m. and the dance will follow in the Botkins Athletic Complex from 8 to 11 p.m. The king and queen will be crowned at 9 p.m.
An after-prom party will begin at midnight and run until 3 a.m. in the Minster Bowling Alley.
Candidates for prom queen are Rachel Creps, daughter of Kelly and Ty Creps; Maddie Steinke, daughter of Vicki and Chad Steinke; Crystal Alstaetter, daughter of Sheila and Michael Alstaetter; and Kayla Hohler, daughter of Kathy and Bill Kohler.
Candidates for prom king are Micah Smock, son of Mary Lee and Phil Smock; Tanner Russell, son of Holly and Mark Russell; Bryce Swank, son of Corrie and Craig Swank; and Xavier Pax, son of Jill and Eric Pax.
