TOLEDO — Taylor Busse, daughter of Carla and Rick Busse, of rural Shelby County, won first place in the University of Toledo Invitational Sales Competition in February.

Busse, a 2014 graduate of Sidney High School, is studying sales and marketing at the university. The invitational pitted the Toledo team against 30 other schools. Busse’s scores helped the UT team to take first place.

Busse is active in the Pi Sigma Epsilon business fraternity and competed with the UT team at the fraternity’s national convention in St. Louis, Missouri, in April.

Busse will intern this summer as an ouside sales representative of Hilti Corp. in Dallas, Texas.
