DAYTON — Premier Health has announced MedQuest, an event for high school juniors and seniors, Wednesday, June 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.

Local high school students will be able to learn about careers in health care. The event is designed to supplement area schools’ STEM curriculum with unique educational experiences.

MedQuest is an event that provides students with the opportunity to participate in hands-on activities led by professionals in surgery, emergency services, rehabilitation, respiratory care, imaging and nursing. The hands-on activities range from providing emergency resuscitation on a simulation mannequin to learning suturing techniques.

“We are so excited to offer this event in our community,” said Yolanda Munguia, academic partnerships program manager for Premier Health. “There is so much talent in the Dayton area, and we want to make sure students are aware of the many career opportunities available to them right here at home!”

To register online, go to https://www.miamivalleyhospital.org/Programs-and-Events/ and select “Special Event” on the June 21 calendar square. There is a $10 registration fee.
