FORT LORAMIE — Fort Loramie Local Schools students in grades kindergarten through six will have a new math curriculum in the fall.
The board of education voted during its regular meeting, June 19, to purchase the Pearson Envision Math series of textbooks and materials. The series will replace the one that was adopted in 2009.
In other business, the board:
• Approved appropriation adjustments, 2018 temporary appropriations, 2017-2018 activity budgets and school fees.
• Voted to leave the lunch prices for 2017-2018 unchanged from 2016-2017.
• Accepted donations of $146 from the Fort Loramie ACE Committee to support the high school student council and of $200 from the Fort Loramie Service Club to support the purchase of an accelerated reader.
• Voted to purchase a 2017 Chevy Express van with a two-way radio system from Bobby Layman Chevrolet in Columbus at a cost of $27,465.
