FORT LORAMIE — Luke Stager, of Fort Loramie, has received the USS New Jersey Veterans’ scholarship award of $1,000.

Stager graduated from Fort Loramie High School in 2017 and plans to attend the University of Toledo to study biochemistry. He is the son of Scott and Beth Stager and the grandson of Matt Zimmerman, all of Fort Loramie. Matt is a USS New Jersey veteran and served during the Korean War.

Funds for this scholarship are donated by the veterans of the USS New Jersey to facilitate the higher education of deserving students.
