Are we deceived?

0

As I watch the news this morning, I see the Words of the Bible coming across the screen and Matthew 24 proving itself before my eyes. Jesus first tells, “Take heed that no man deceive you.” (Verse 4)

Deception is a major fact of our lives and we need to take heed. Deception comes from our government, many leaders in all walks of our lives, and even many who call themselves Christians but lacking the power or insight and definitely the Spirit that comes with a born-again experience.

The last may be the hardest deception to see but most likely does the most damage to the Kingdom of God. These so-called Christians give false hypocritical witness to those who are not learned in the Word of God. I’m not suggesting that Christians are perfect people. … No, but they are being transformed by a renewing of mind and the fruit of the Spirit is in them and growing as they grow in Christ. LOVE is the first and foremost quality that is given and encompasses the other traits. Christians too fall short at times, however, they are not cast down as repentance is an ongoing thing in their lives. They are held up by the hand of God!

Jesus goes on to say, “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars.” (Verse 6) IN THE NEWS THIS MORNING! “Nation will rise against nation.” IN THE NEWS THIS MORNING! “There will be pestilences (diseases?), earthquakes in various places.” IN THE NEWS THIS MORNING! He said, “These are the beginnings of sorrows!” He said, “Followers will be persecuted, killed and hated by all nations for his names sake!” IN THE NEWS THIS MORNING! “There will be many offended and will betray one another and hate one another.” (Verse 10) IN THE NEWS THIS MORNING! And again he says, “And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.” (Verse 11) I’VE SEEN THIS MANY TIMES ON MY TV! “Lawlessness will abound, love will grow cold.” (Verse 12) This is all around us in so many ways and ON THE NEWS THIS MORNING! TERRORISTS!

There is GOOD NEWS! Then Jesus says, “But he that endures to the end shall be saved.” (Endures means … continues to follow Jesus in Spirit and in Truth in that born-again condition, shall be saved.) ”The gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the entire world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end shall come.” (Verses 13-14) “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved. But for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened. … For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders, in so much that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” (Verses 21,22,24) Again he warns of deception …”For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” (Verse 27)

There are many different beliefs on how this will all come and when this will all come and what tribulation will involve. I choose to believe the Word of God and it tells me to be watching and waiting for his return and I need not know any more than that for I trust my Lord.

This next Scripture echoes in my mind often as I look around me … “But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” (Verses 37-39) THIS TOO IS COMING TO PASS SOON!

I see it all around me … Who is watching and waiting for his return? Who is not?

We need to take heed! We need to not be deceived! We need to keep looking up for our redemption draws very close. In the days of Noah they were not believing and not changing and not watching. We have many signs proving the Words Jesus gave us and have no reason not to believe. Those who are watching and waiting … shall be saved!

This evangelist is warning you. I’m watching, I’m waiting for I see the Bible coming to pass every day and even more so as time tarries. There won’t be a flood, however, the end of this world as we know it is coming to an end. I URGE YOU TO GET READY, TO MEET YOUR MAKER! He does not want you to perish! You see, he Loves you and sent his Son to save you from all of this! And he has warned you!
