‘Shipwrecked’ theme of VBS

SIDNEY — New Hope United Methodist church will be holding its annual vacation Bible school, June 18-22 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. This year’s theme is “Shipwrecked: Rescued by Jesus.”

At Shipwrecked, kids discover that Jesus rescues them. Kids participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, make and devour yummy treats, experience one-of-a-kind Bible adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them of God’s love, and test out Sciency-Fun Gizmos they’ll take home and play with all summer long.

Kids ages 3 through 6th grade are invited to come join the school. The school closing program is on Sunday, June 24, at 10:30 a.m. and followed by a picnic lunch (provided). Registration for the school may be completed on the church’s website found at www.sidneynewhope.org.

The church is located at 8985 W. Mason Road, Sidney (corner of Patterson-Halpin and Mason roads) There is a bridge closure on Mason Road between Hardin-Wapak Road and the church; detour on state Route 705 or Cisco Road to reach Patterson-Halpin Road as alternate routes.
