MOULTON — Trinity Lutheran Church in Moulton, 14127 Moulton-New Knoxville Road, Moulton, will celebrate its 150th anniversary, Sunday Oct. 28 and Nov. 11.

From 1868 to the present, a Lutheran Church has sat on the same site.

On Reformation Sunday, Oct. 28, the congregation will celebrate Trinity in the present. Northwest Ohio Synod Bishop Daniel Beaudoin will be there for a service that will include special music at 10:15 a.m.

A potluck lunch will follow the service. Historical items from the church and church families will be on display.

Beginning at 1 p.m., a Festival of Music with performers from the congregation and from the community will start in the sanctuary.

Nov. 11, the congregation will culminate a year of celebration by looking toward “Our Future.” Leading the 10:15 a.m. worship service will be Pastor Daniel Wolpert, executive director and co-founder of Minnesota Institute of Contemplation and Healing (MICAH). Also attending will be Trey Everett, co-director of MICAH, spiritual director and contemplative artist. Everett’s is art on display in the church through Nov. 11.

Worship that day will be followed by a lunch and a stewardship fair. Local organizations who help those in need in the community will be available to discuss what they do and how area residents can help.

Earlier this year, the congregation gathered for an outdoor worship under a tent to focus on the past. Joined by local musicians, Harps & Strings, they sang many old hymns and one in German.
