TIPP CITY — The third-annual Angel House Christmas Bazaar will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Dec. 1, 2018, at the Tipp City United Methodist Church, 8 W. Main Street, Tipp City. In its first two years, the event has generated $7,000 in support of Angel House Children’s Home and Secondary School in Tanzania, Africa. Proceeds from the 2018 bazaar will help complete the school’s science lab.

The event has expanded to host more than 35 vendors in 40 booths offering quality art, crafts, and food items. There will be something for everyone on your holiday shopping list. Guests are invited to Eat at Joe’s Diner. Menu selections will include a la carte hot sandwiches, soups, assorted pies, and FREE coffee throughout the day.

In addition, the bazaar committee will revive the Nativity Collection Tour that debuted more than 10 years ago. The original tour took place during the downtown Winter’s Gathering and was repeated a second year. It included about 100 Nativity sets and was visited by more than 300 community members. The 2018 Tour will again host as many as 100 sets from around the world. An entire lineup of live music including English hand bells, organ, flutes, strings, guitar, piano, chorale and more will entertain visitors during the Tour.

Also new for 2018, readers may register to win one of four door prizes donated by Tipp City businesses. Go to the Angel House Christmas Bazaar Facebook page to learn how to enter and be sure to like and share posts to earn additional entries for the prize drawings.

The annual Cookie Walk, where shoppers purchase assorted, homemade cookies by the pound, will take place at 9 a.m. until the cookies are gone. Come early. This popular annual event has been ongoing for nearly 30 years. Cookies are usually sold out by 11 a.m.

Church members will staff the Angel House booth that will feature hand-crafted items donated by the congregation, other community members, and the visiting vendors. The children at Angel House have also contributed hand-crafted items. The 2018 Mission Team returned with a limited number of African Nativity sets that will also be available to purchase. All proceeds from the Angel House booth, vendor registration fees and table rentals, as well as the diner will benefit the children at Angel House.

There is no admission fee for any of the activities.
