Who is your king?

I have been watching the news and to be blunt America and the rest of the world is an absolute mess. President Obama is acting more like a king or dictator than a president. He continues to make executive orders because he can’t get the laws passed through Congress. Congress has had opportunities to defund some of his actions but hasn’t (Obama Care, Planned Parenthood and others). They seem to be willing to let him do what he wants without standing up against him. His Cabinet is making deals with other countries that go against the betterment of our country. He’s supposed to be working for the people but it seems he thinks the people work for him.

We are in an election year and everyone that is running is promising to fix everything. Hillary has been caught in one lie after another but yet seems to be rising in the polls. When asked if she was a Democrat or a socialist, she said it’s all in the wording. Bernie has come right out and said that he is a socialist and is right in the mix of things. The Republicans are scattering to try and find an answer to win the White House back. Leaders of other countries are trying to flex their muscles to try and position themselves to become the greatest or most feared. ISIS is still growing and causing fear. They have stated their agenda very clearly (Death to America and to Israel).

What does all of this say about the world as a whole? What it says is that everyone is looking for someone to fix all of these problems. President Obama nor any other leader of this world is going to be able to fix what is wrong. The only answer to all of these problems is Jesus Christ. Government says it has the answers. All the world religions think they have the answers. That there are many ways to the same God. What is wrong with this? The Bible says that there is only one way to the true God.

In John 14:6 we read: “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” So if anyone or anything rejects Jesus Christ, they reject God.

In Matthew 7:13-14, we read: 13 “Enter ye in at the straight gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”

The world keeps trying to take God out of everything. The truth of the matter is that we need God in everything. Scripture says that there is one thing that Obama, Congress, every world leader, you and I all have in common. We read it in Philippians 2:10-11: 10 “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

Obama needs to be forgiven of his sins. Every world leader and every religious leader needs to be forgiven of their sins. You and I need to be forgiven of our sins. In Romans 3:23 it says: “We have all sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” But in Romans 5:8 we read: “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” We need to realize that we need to make Jesus the King of our lives while we still have time. He is coming back as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Will you make Jesus your king?
