There is so much going on in our world today. Everywhere we look we see disunity and internal fighting. In Matthew 12:25 it says And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand. We are so blind that we cannot see that we are on the verge of falling apart. If we as Christians continue to just sit back and not engage in this war we have no one to blame except ourselves. Scripture says in James 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. We cannot just sit back and let it happen we are called to do good.
I know that this can be overwhelming. When we sit back and look at all the evil that is going on we are left to think what can we really do about it? Our schools are a mess trying to push agendas of the far left. There is no accountability or consequences for behaviors. Crime is rampant in the big cities and their leaders want to turn a blind eye and even defund the police. We see that our Government is only out for themselves and going so far away from the things of God but yet in their own eyes they think they are right. They want you to become more and more dependent on them There is a blindness to so many people right now. Scripture in Romans 1:28-32 tells us what it looks like when we harden our hearts “28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them”. This looks like a perfect picture of what is happening around us.
The good news is that God has given His people the tools to overcome and to fight against evil. This is not our fight but His and He equips us for the war. In Ephesians 6:11-13 we read “11 Put on the whole armour of God, that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand”. We must get into the fight but we must be prepared. In 2nd Corinthians 10:3-5 we read “3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of God”. We can’t win this on our own but by speaking up and standing for what is right God will use us to make a difference. This is not for the weak of heart because people will not understand and will reject you. You will feel alone but remember God said He would never leave you nor forsake you. We now have a choice to sit back and do nothing or choose to do good and stand up and fight. We cannot afford to do nothing.
