SIDNEY — A 21st Century Awakening is coming to Sidney and Shelby County.

The teaching series, which is designed for those not presently interested in being a part of a church as well as church-goers, will be held on Saturdays beginning Aug. 20 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Christian Academy Schools, 2151 W. Russell Road, Sidney.

Sponsored by Cornerstone Church, Dr. D. Vincent “Bud” Ford will be presenting the series of teaching covering various topics on the class dates:

• Aug. 20: God’s Plan for You

• Sept. 3: The Signs of the Times

• Sept. 17: The Rapture

• Oct. 1: the Tribulation

• Oct. 15: The Millennium

• Nov. 5: The New Heavens and the New Earth

Ford, who is retired, was a former Fairlawn High School principal and superintendent at Christian Academy schools. He has studied Bible prophecy as well as the topics will be be teaching.

The purpose of the classes is to look at what the Bible says about things that are happening and are going to happen.

Attendance is free and open to the public. The evening will also include music and a freewill offering to cover expenses.

The teachings will also be held in April.
